Event Details

Maryland Student Leadership Expedition 1
Open to MD/DC students entering grades 9-12

Join fellow student leaders from across Maryland to connect, learn, and find inspiration as we explore environmental issues impacting the Chesapeake Bay, the country’s largest estuary! We’ll travel to unique places, have real-world experiences, and discover the magic of the Bay, found in the brackish waters, tucked away in marsh grasses, and in communities along its shores. This one-of-a-kind expedition will equip students to become the next generation of environmental leaders, whether they are now just beginning their journey or are seasoned veterans. Student leaders will acquire new skills and a deeper knowledge and appreciation for Saving the Bay and its tributaries.

Expedition Logistics: This is a multi-day, overnight (tent camping & dormitory-style housing), in-person event. Registered participants will meet CBF Educators at a central location and spend five days exploring and investigating portions of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. All transportation, lodging, and meals will be provided during the expedition.  Participation will be determined on a first come, first served basis.

Cost: $350; Do not be deterred by cost: financial assistance available upon request. Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information prior to registering.
