Exploring Natural Resources in Agricultural Education
Open to all certified PA Teachers.

Spend two days exploring your Natural Resources and their connection to Agriculture. Day one will be spent exploring how natural resources are managed, restored, and protected at two different conservation sites. The second day will be spent paddling a local waterway. Participants will have the opportunity to investigate soil and water quality, conduct biodiversity surveys, and connect with other teachers. Teachers can expect professional development topics paired with hands-on experiential investigations exploring student-centered learning. This two-day course is in partnership with the Penn State University Teach Ag! program.

Length & Location:
Two consecutive days of field-based, whole-group, outdoor investigations in the State College area.
Lodging: If needed, overnight accommodations are available in the area for an additional fee .
Cost: $75
Credit: Successful completion of the course and course work will qualify participants for 18 ACT48 hours.
Orientation Date: Virtual orientation meetings are at 7:00 p.m. on May 25th, June 22nd, or July 13th. Choose one of the virtual meetings prior to your course.

COVID POLICY: All participants of multi-day experiences are required to be fully up to date on COVID vaccinations or have a negative PCR test within 72 hours of in person programing start. All vaccinated participants are required to take a rapid covid test 48 Hours prior to the start of in person programing. Attend only if negative.
